The Festival of Hariyali Teej 2024 is celebrated on the
third day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Shravan. This festival is a
celebration of women. In the month of Sawan, when the entire nature is covered
with green cover, on that occasion, the hearts of women start dancing like
peacocks. Swings are made in the branches of the tree. In eastern Uttar Pradesh
and Haryana it is celebrated as Kajali Teej. This fast holds great importance
for married women. This festival of faith, enthusiasm, beauty and love is
celebrated to commemorate the reunion of Shiva and Parvati. Because of the

Hariyali Teej Significance
It is said that on this day Goddess Parvati met Lord Shiva
after hundreds of years of meditation. It is also said that Mother Parvati took
birth 107 times to get Lord Shiva as her husband, yet Goddess could not get
Shiva as husband. When Mother Parvati took birth for the 108th time, then on
Shukla Paksha Tritiya of Shravan month, lord Shiva could be received in the
form of her husband. From then onwards this fast started. On this occasion, the
married women who worship shiva and parvati by sixteen doing adornments their
marriage lasts for a long period . Also, at the behest of Goddess Parvati, Lord
Shiva blessed that any virgin girl who observes this fast and Shiva will
worship Parvati , the obstacles in her marriage will be removed and she will
get a suitable groom. Married women will get good fortune by observing this fast and will enjoy the happiness of
